Little Girl Throws Ball Back After Dad's Dramatic Catch at Phillies Game
Categories: Amazing Parents, Funny Stuff
At yesterday's Phillies v. Nationals game, one fan leaned over his upper deck seat and made a picture-perfect catch. After a couple of fist bumps with fellows fans, the guy gives the ball to his toddler who does what any smart kid does with a ball -- she throws it back. Whoops. The best part? Dad hugs his baby instead of throwing her back.

So cute. You can see the disappointment on the dad's face, but he doesn't want his baby to see it. Phillies should send him a new ball--signed and all....

That's a great idea, Mary. I hope the Phillies do just that.

I agree and with a Jersey, maybe even have him throw one of the opening pitches with his Daughter! That video should be used as a Phillies Commercial and, or Master Card Priceless Commercials or both and would fill seats and sell credit cards!

What a proud father. It would be great if he could have a copy of the video to show her when she is older.

The guy that got the ball after the little girl threw it.....gave it back! That's why they call it the City of Brotherly Love. Cute huh?

I vote for him to be father of the year. I couldn't guarantee I'd react so well...but the little one is so cute, I'm sure it's nearly impossible to get mad at her.

The father should be commended for taking his daughter to a ballgame. This type of bond will definitely reflect later in life and there will always be a great bond between the two forever. You are a great father and it showed. Not very many out there in today's world. A high Five dad!!!!!!!

I'm so happy they gave dad the ball back. A once in a lifetime chance thrown back is once in a lifetime chance as well. What a GREAT dad, he didn't even get upset at her. Kudo's

I agree. It was really cute. However, it would be nice if they would send him an autographed ball to replace the one the little threw back.

PRICELESS!! He gets MY vote for Father of the year!! Obviously which was most important to him!!

What is really great is that O'Reilly named him a Patriot on his FOX newscast. Only a Philly fan would be a patriot like that.

I agree...this guy showed great composure and love for his daughter. So many people these days would have gone off on some horrible rampage, and scared the little girl senceless. I say give the guy an autographed ball...and show him he did the right thing!
